Nikkah & Dua Services

Evergreen Islamic Center hosts nikkah ceremonies and dua gatherings in our Main Hall, Mezzanine, and Big Hall. Reserve space through our facility policy, coordinate the imam through the request form below, and contact the office for availability.

When a man marries he has fulfilled half of the deen, so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half.

Nikkah at EIC

  • Nikkah ceremonies are scheduled at EIC when space and imam availability align. Submit the request form below and the office will follow up.
  • Venue use follows the same rules and fees as premises rental. Main Hall and Mezzanine are commonly reserved for nikkah; Big Hall is available for larger gatherings.
  • Payment must be completed at least three weeks before the event date. Zelle, cash, and check are accepted.

Requirements for nikkah officiation

Imam Tahir Anwar performs nikkah at EIC and across the Bay Area when available. Before booking, please confirm you can meet these requirements:

  1. Both the bride and groom must be Muslim.
  2. A valid California marriage license from any county (for ceremonies performed in California).
  3. Two Muslim male witnesses must be present.
  4. Mahr (dowry) must be agreed upon and documented before the ceremony.
  5. Scheduling is based on the imam's availability. If he is available, an application will be sent to the couple.
  6. After the ceremony, the imam manages related paperwork.

Dua & Quran khawani

  • Dua gatherings and Quran khawani may be reserved in EIC spaces subject to the same facility guidelines.
  • Use the request form below or contact the office to discuss dates, space, and program details.

Public fees (from EIC facility policy)

  • Mezzanine (basement) facility fee$1,000
  • Clean-up & setup deposit (refundable)$200
  • Quran khawani or dua$500
  • Big Hall rent$2,000
  • Maximum duration4 hours (absolute limit 5 hours)

Payment must be completed at least three weeks before the event date to secure the reservation.

* The clean-up and setup deposit is only required if the Mezzanine is not left as it was before the event. The deposit is returned after satisfactory inspection.
