Mezzanine & Big Hall — Evergreen Islamic Center

Rules, fees, and payment information for reserving EIC space in San Jose. Review the guidelines, then submit the facility reservation form. Big Hall inquiries go to operations.

Reserve a space

Payment is due at least three weeks before your event. Use Zelle, cash, or check. Add the event type and date in your Zelle memo (see fee section below).

Payment must be completed at least three weeks before the event date.

* Clean-up and Setup deposit is only required if Mezzanine Hall is not cleaned and put back as it was before the event. Deposit will be returned after satisfactory inspection.

Rules and Guidelines for Using the EIC Facility

The basement (mezzanine) has a maximum capacity of 300 people. Capacity may vary depending on seating arrangements.

  1. Furniture
    • Chairs and tables will be provided. The reserving party is responsible for arranging them as needed.
  2. Kitchen Usage
    • The stove and oven are not available for cooking or heating.
    • The kitchen may only be used to prep catered food.
    • The kitchen must be cleaned after usage.
  3. Microphone
    • Available upon request.
  4. Post-Event Responsibilities
    • All tables and chairs must be restored to their original positions.
    • All trash must be disposed of in the trash bin located near the Main Gate.
    • The basement must be left clean. This includes removing any decorations, food, or other items used during the event.
  5. Upstairs Main Prayer Hall
    • No decorations, food, or drinks are permitted in this space.
  6. Child Supervision
    • The hosting party is responsible for ensuring children are supervised and do not wander around the facility.
  7. Construction Areas
    • Please avoid any construction zones. Guests must stay within the designated reserved areas, including the basement (mezzanine) and the main prayer hall.
  8. Payments and Reservations
    • Payment must be completed at least three weeks before the event date to secure the reservation.
    • Payments can be made via Zelle (payment@eicsanjose.org), cash, or check.
    • Fees for basement (mezzanine): Mezzanine facility fee is $800.
    • Clean-up and setup deposit is $200, which will be returned after satisfactory inspection (see note below).
    • For Quran Khawani or Dua, the fee is $500.
    • Reservations are limited to a maximum of 4 hours, with an absolute limit of 5 hours.

Before you book

  • The clean-up and setup deposit applies if the mezzanine is not left as found; it is returned after a satisfactory inspection.
  • Stay within reserved areas and avoid construction zones. The main prayer hall upstairs does not allow decorations, food, or drinks.

Participation in any activities, events, or programs organized by EIC or private parties is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. EIC, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any accident, injury, illness, or loss or damage to personal property that may occur as a result of participation or by others in these activities. By participating, individuals or event organizers acknowledge that they have read and understood this disclaimer and agree to release and hold harmless EIC from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising from their involvement.

EIC reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
